After spending some time back in the Southeast I have come up with a different setting for the Honda CRF450RWE that I think helps balance the bike out in soft conditions. Unlike Southern California, the softer east coast soil sucks the Honda down, therefore the suspension setting needs to be stiffer even for a 175 pound rider. Here is what I have come up with to help shorten your set up time and lengthen your moto time out on the track. Below are settings based around the stock spring rate as well as what I think the best spring rage would be for a 175 pound to 200 (and change) plus rider. -KK
Fork:
* Best Setting: Optional Heavier Spring Rate: 5.2N/m spring (If using 5.2 spring run 10 out on compression and 9 out on rebound, fork height 2mm)
Stock Spring Rate Setting: 5.0 N/m
Height: Flush
Comp: 6 out
Rebound: 8 out
Shock:
- Best Setting: Optional Spring Rate: 58 N/m (If over 185 pounds this spring is recommended) L/S Comp: 10 out, HSC Comp: 1.75-2 out, Rebound: 10 out, Sag 105mm.
Stock Spring Rate Setting: 56 N/m
Sag: 105mm
L/S Comp: 7 clicks out
H/S Comp: 1.5 clicks out
Rebound: 9 clicks out
