Tire Pressure Settings Bible 2025

Riding several tires as well as compounds over the years, I like to write some of the optimal tire pressures every year that I felt worked the best in a variety of conditions. Here are some major brands and the pressures I have found worked the best. If you’re wondering what PSI to run in your new tires, look no further than the tire pressure bible below. These tire settings are for: 80/100-21, 120/80-19, 110/90-19, 100/90-19, 120/90-19 sizes.

Note: If you’re a heavier rider that weighs over 220 pounds without gear going up .5-1PSI on any of these settings will be optimal for you. When you weigh more the tire’s carcass will be working harder (squishing more) so going up a half pound or pound will help from getting pinch flats or experiencing tire roll (when on lean angle).

Note: If you’re a motocross track rider there is no need to purchase ULTRA HEAVY DUTY TUBES. Standard to HD tubes are sufficient for moto. The best inner tubes I have ran are Dunlop as well as Bridgestone’s HD motocross tubes as these are made of real rubber. With either of these tube thicknesses, the tire pressures below are sufficient

Note: Make sure to keep checking you tire pressure if you’re at the track more than a few hours as heat will raise the pressure in tires and that can cause for less contact patch feel as well as less lean angle traction.
