Notes:

  • Works Connection Holeshot Device Set to 140mm.
  • Dunlop Rear MX14 tire is like cheating off the start. Ground is sandy top soil/hard underneath. MX14 provided superb straight line acceleration and decent lean angle for most of press day and for that one lap of qualifying.
  • GET ECU helps with linear roll on power and makes for a broader pulling power.
  • REP fork has better small bump comfort with better lean angle initiation. 2mm fork height with 104mm sag. Shock could use a little more comfort on acceleration chop so will look into high speed compression adjustment for ride height/damping feel.
  • Shape of stock seat hurts my ass. Gives me monkey butt and the edges of the foam are too thin and close to the subframe rails. This forces me to wear padding in my shorts. Going to try new GUTS foam shape when ready.
  • Akrapovic system provided smoother roll on power (compared to stock) which allowed more rear wheel traction out of choppy corners. Akra system helps with mid range hit as it smooths out the bottom to mid range transition with massive top end pulling power.
  • WC 26mm lever ratio helps with clutch action for starts as well as acceleration out of corners. Less grabby and more of a wider engagement.
  • Hinson 9 plate clutch pack is a must for longevity and for less fade during moto.
