We have created (as well as Yamaha R&D) a couple optional maps for you new bLU cRU owners to try. The “Control Torque” map was created by the Yamaha R&D team to give the rider a smoother roll on character that limits how free feeling the engine feels when exiting corners. I do feel less of a quick revving feeling with this map and can help you when the track gets rough.
The “Keefer Exciting Connect” map is a map that gives the YZ450F a little more excitement down low the fills in the gap before that huge mid range hit. This makes the bottom-mid feel a little more seamless without the bike getting away from you when you’re a 50-100 feet out of the corner. That second gear mid range roll on can be a bitch if you’re not ready and this maps helps this.
